Best of Moda Bake Shop Pillow Parade

It's my turn today for the Best of Moda Bake Shop Pillow Parade!  Available now on Amazon and wherever quilting books are sold, Best of Moda Bake Shop contains 15 pretty projects made with precuts, including mini-charm squares, charm squares, Layer Cakes, Jelly Rolls, fat quarters, and fat eighths.  The quilts range in size from wall hangings to table toppers to oversized lap quilts—there's something for everyone!

To celebrate the release of this beautiful book, each of the designers from Best of Moda Bake Shop is sharing the pattern for a bonus project made with a block from the book and designed to coordinate with their quilt.  Here's a look at my Best of Moda Bake Shop quilt, "Christmas Baubles".

This sweet little Christmas tree wall hanging is made with mini-charm squares from the Snow Day collection by Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda.  The blocks are small, but so worth the effort!  For my Pillow Parade project, I decided that the perfect complement to a Christmas tree would be a Christmas wreath!

I love how this little 18" pillow turned out!  I chose prints from the Christmas Figs II collection by Fig Tree & Co. for Moda and I love the fresh greens and bright reds.  The quilting pattern I used is "Christmas Paisley" by Anne Bright Designs and it's lovely!

To make the pillow, you'll need your favorite Christmas fabrics with plenty of green prints, a copy of Best of Moda Bake Shop for instructions for how to make the Bauble blocks, and a copy of the pillow pattern that you can download here.

The Pillow Parade will continue until September 11th with new pillows posted on social media every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Be sure to follow @modabakeshop and #bestofmodabakeshopbook on Instagram so you don't miss out!

Happy Quilting!
